The deal between you and Étude, in the shortest form we could write it.

What Étude is

A study tool that plans your week, teaches from your own class material, and quizzes you honestly. It is a study aid — not a teacher, not a school, and not a promise of any particular grade.

Who can use it

Students 13 and over, with a Claude account. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian has to make the purchase and agrees to these terms with you.

Your work stays yours

You keep every syllabus, note, answer, and document you bring or make. We take only the permission needed to run Étude for you, and nothing beyond it.

Academic honesty

Étude is built to teach you the material, not to hand in your work. Your school's rules govern what you may submit, and following them is your responsibility.

Étude can be wrong

A misread syllabus, a wrong date, a grade calculation built on a weighting it guessed at. Étude marks what it inferred rather than was told — treat a guess as a guess, and check anything that decides a grade or a deadline.

Paying, and stopping

• Free covers your first 30 days of study materials; the calendar, sessions, and plan stay free after that.
• Pro is $10 a month, and starts with a 30-day trial. Stripe handles the payment.
• Cancel in two taps, from Settings or any billing email. No phone call, no retention bot.
• If a charge lands that you did not mean, write within 30 days and we refund it.

Fair use of the service

Do not resell Étude, break it for other people, or use it to harass anyone. We can suspend an account for fraud or abuse, and we will tell you why.

Changes to the product

Étude is a small independent product and it will keep changing. If we remove something you rely on, you get notice and an export first.

Liability and law

Étude is provided as it is, and our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last twelve months. [counsel: warranty disclaimer, liability cap, governing law and dispute clause to be drafted before publish]
